voice to go problems

When we set up our voice to go we added our cell numbers so the house phone would ring and we can answer it on our cell phones. The problem is if we don't answer in time instead of the house phone voicemail picking up it goes to one of our cell phones voicemails. So people think they are calling the wrong number. I have even set the rings before pickup to 5 on the house line and 8 on the cells, why doesn't the house voicemail pickup.
