voice does not recognize my home phone

voice does not recognize my home phone

I cannot access my voice mail account to set it up or retrieve messages.  I keep getting the message, "Your are required to make your initial call to the voice mail platform from your home phone.  Please hang up and try from your home phone" then the system hangs up on me.  I am using my home phone. In the last week, I have spoken with Comcast 5 times via phone and chat about this issue being assured it will be fixed in 24 hours.  Of course, it hasn't been yet.
