Ok, so I haven't used the voicemail feature for like half a year, but it was active.
I finally got around to setting it up today and had over 100 messages.
Went through them 1 by 1, I deleted most of them by pressing 7, and saved like 12.
New voicemail notification was still on my phone, so I checked it again - Low and behold, it said "You have 97 new messages and 12 saved messages".
So my question is obviously, why didn't they delete ?
Solved! Go to solution
You didn't post how you were deleting them, on the phone or on the Xfinity web site.
It might be easier on the web site then you can see them disappear.
Well, I said that I deleted them by pressing 7 ... On the phone.
True, I might be able to delete them all en masse via http, I'd rather have the ability to delete them by phone as needed.
If I can't, I'll just have to use the phones answering machine.
Your right you did say pressing 7. If the message is still playing when you want to delete it, then please press 77. Pressing 7 only works when your are done playing the complete message.
Sorry about the issues you are experiencing.
Have you tried deleting any voicemails today and experienced this same issue again?
System seems kinda buggy for me.
It does seem to sort of delete them from unheard messages, but now they are building up as saved.
I saved maybe 10 of them, its telling me I have 40 saved messages and I know I didn't save anywhere near that many.
I tried on http selecting all the messages, and marking them as "heard", didn't see any option to save. Only mark heard, unheard or delete. When I then call in, it still tells me I have 40 or so new messages.
Sorry about the issues you are having. I have escalated this issue and someone will be in contact with you soon.
