stutter dial tone-won't turn off

stutter dial tone-won't turn off

stutter dial tone (voicemail indicator) won't turn off even though there aren't any voicemail message in que!

help!  this stutter dial tone slows me down during my busy workday!

The stutter tone is probably a "phantom" message indicator.... you can attempt to clear this by calling your number from a different phone, leaving a voice maessage, then retrieving the voice message and deleting it....   you can also try to log into your account online and goto:  https://pf.connect.comcast.net/

Click on VOICE

Then Click on Message Wait Indicator

Then click on REFRESH.

awsome help!!  it was a phantom message - your suggestion about calling and leaving a voicemail message from another phone - then deleting that message - worked!
