phone will not ring into home

phone will not ring into home

I connected the Gateway modem and have not been able to retrieve any calls since I switched.  I can call out but when someone calls here it goes directly to voice mail.  I read to change cable from a 4 line to a 2 line and this did not work.  Any other suggestions??  Support isn't there, I am very disappointed and have been considering terminating and switching to another carrier.

When you swapped out the modem for the gateway, did you go through the activation process?

 

Try rebooting the gateway by pulling power cord from outlet... let sit 5 seconds.... then plug back in.   Allow 3-5 minutes for the gateway to reinitialize and have someone try and call you again.

 

If it fails to ring, call into Comcast and register a trouble ticket for your service which is not working!
