phone service connectivity problem

I picked up a new wireless gateway modem at my local comcast store. After reconnecting equipment, I cannot make a phone call or pick one up.

However, incoming calls do go to my voicemail and I can pick them up through email. help please.

Follow these instructions and call in on your cell so that Comcast can initialize your gateway.

 

  Activating Your Equipment Over the Phone

 

  1. Call 1-855-OK-BEGIN (1-855-652-3446).
  2. While on the line for telephone activation, you will need:
    • The phone number associated with your account.
    • The last four digits of the equipment serial number(s).
    • The location of the equipment (living room, bedroom, etc.).
