How to use Motorola  SB6141  3.0 high speed with voice

I just got the Motorola SB6141 3.0 modem and I want to connect my voice with comcast to my new system.  I do not have a telephone line port in the back of this modem.  Is their a way to make my comcast phone work with this system?  Please help!  Thanks!

Re: own modem with voice

That modem does NOT support their phone service. You need to use an eMTA like an Arris TM722G or TM822G (newer and better choice).

But the first thing you should do is to call in or go to your local CC service center (the better choice) and inquire / confirm as to whether or not customer owned eMTA's (modems with phone support) are allowed to be used on the local system. Some local franchises still do not allow it and require you to rent one from CC.
