You may be in a temporary outage, or something worse.... to help determine, pull power from the gateway/modem and let sit a few seconds.... then plug back into power.... allow the device to fully power up and reinitialize....  try and place a call then.

 

If this doesn't cure the ills, you should call into Comcast and let them know you have a trouble condition....  without tellling them, they will never know.
