my block number section does not work, I can't block numbers, why

my block number section does not work, I can't block numbers, why

                            I 've tried to block numbers but that section will not come up.  I can see numbers that have called me,  but the blocking

                                           section does not work

You can block numbers using your home phone keypad....see this link:  http://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/phone/call-screening/

For the online issue, you will need to call into Comcast @ 1-800-266-2278 or 1-800-934-6489 and begin the troubleshooting with the CSR.


The Support Forums are "public" forums and you should not post identifiable information - (full name, account number, address, phone numbers & email addresses).  Users of these forums are Comcast customers, the same as you & me and volunteer their time to assist with the issues and/or problems that you may be experiencing. Comcast Official Employees (OE) are identified with RED lettered User Names. Comcast Appointed Experts are identified with GREEN lettered User Names.

         thanks for  your reply,   I already use the phone for block numbers, but I like comcast online because it doesn't ring once;   the phone

                      does ring once.        I don't know whats wrong,  when I click on that site it seems frozen

Try clearing your browser's cache, cookies and history and then try again,

If that doesn't work, try a different browser to see if that allows you access to the blocking sectoin of that page.

          when I say block number,  I'm not talking about the phone.   I am referring to the comcast  call block screening where you can block 12 numbers,it does not work,  I cannot  access it,  please help

I believe only the primary user can block numbers and if you are the primary and cannot see this area then there are other steps to take.

Check to see if your userid is the primary by using this link:  https://login.comcast.net/myaccount/lookup

If you are the primary but are not listed as such, call into Comcast @ 1-800-266-2278 or 1-800-934-6489 and speak with a CSR about your account setup.

    Yes ,  I am the primary user and are authorized,  what is the problem,   I cannot access my call screening?

As I stated in my reply above, call Comcast @ 1-800-266-2278 or 1-800-934-6489 and have them begin the troubleshooting process.
