lost voice mail

lost voice mail

 

hello, we recently switched internet and telephone to comcast. Since the change voice mail fails to record on my existing telephone equipment. There is a visual voicemail on the desk top computer, but log in etc.is required to retrieve them. This is bothersome and time consuming. Is there a setting/solution that fixes this?

This looks like 2 issues.

 

1.  You will need to ensure that your personal equipment os set to to answer VM "before" the Comcast VM does.  You can check that by logging into your account online and goto:https://pf.connect.comcast.net/OptimusPref/prefs/voice and check you home phone number of rings under the Call Forwarding Tab.

 

2.  Comcast recently removed the CallerID to PC program and does not offer this as an option now.
