compatible phones

We are moving voIP providers from Concord Communications to InfinityVoice.  Our phones are Yealink T41P.  Are they compatible?  They connect with an eathernet cord.  Is there a difference with InfinityVoice and other voIP provider in that one uses regular phone wire and one uses eathernet.  We are very confused. Please help explain the process.  We will be ported Friday 5 Feb.  We want to be prepared.  Thank you.

Comcast modems/gateways use a regular phone line to connect the phone to the Tel1/Tel2 jack on the back of the modem/gateway.  You cannot use ethernet to connect the phone.

Yealink T41P phone

Thank you for your reply on using ethernet wiring.  Our phone is a Yealink T41P  the location where we would connect the internet is set for ethernet.  When we convert tomorrow, we will have InfinityVoice tel wires.  Will an jack adapter work?

The Yealnk T41P is a business class VOIP Phone that connects to an Ethernet solution.  The Comcast modem/gateway will not have the ports available for you to use the Yealink phones as they do not have Ethernet ports.  My suggestion is to purchase a regular phone to plug into the modem/gateway to ensure you still have phone service after the install, and shop around for a phone system that will support your new equipment/needs.
