I just received a new hd box called comcast twice still no caller id on my tv why is that?

First power cycle your new equipment to make sure the interactive apps load correctly.  Then test it after an hour.

 

It can also take up to a week for the databases to sync for the CID on the box to start working.

 

If it doesn't start working by next Wednesday or so, then post back and it will be escalated to the Comcast Cares Team.  It might be a coding issue with your account.

Also check to make sure that caller id for TV is enabled on the cable box.  With the remote, press menu. Then go to iTV. You will see "Caller ID". Select it and make sure that Caller id is on.  

 

As mentioned, provisioning for the service can take up to 48-72 hrs once you are installed.
