I have had comcast phone service for a very short time. My number was ported from AT&T. When my mother-in-law calls she gets a message that says that "the subscriber is not accepting calls from this number." To my knowledge she is the only person getting that message. I have not Blocked her number and have done nothing to cause this. What can I do to correct this, and is there a way to block and unblock incoming calls?

The message you are describing happens when it is blocking a number. You can remove the number from the list by following the guide below. 

If You Have XFINITY Voice and XFINITY Internet

  1. Access XFINITY Connect.
  2. Select the Email icon.
  3. Enter your primary XFINITY username and password.
  4. Go to the Preferences tab
  5. Select Call Manager.
  6. Select Call Screening.
  7. Click the Selective Call Rejection check-box.
  8. Click Add to add a new telephone number or highlight an existing number.
  9. Then click Add again.
  10. To add Anonymous Call Rejection as well, click the appropriate check-box.
  11. Click Save.

 

Instead of Adding, just make sure to remove the number you want to receive calls. -FC
