Xfinity voice setup

Xfinity voice setup

I'm trying to get my pin for the xfinity voice app but I was told I didn't need an actual home phone to use this and I can't get the pin. I tried on an iPad and on my android phone but I never got a call. Does anyone know how to go about this?
