XFinity Voice PIN unsolicited

XFinity Voice PIN unsolicited

I just received an XFinity Voice PIN in an email. This is the email:  "Thank you for choosing XFINITY Voice. To protect the privacy of your account, we require the use of a Security PIN to manage calling features and view or discuss your call detail records online or through Comcast Customer Service."

 

Seems to me that this email is saying that am signed up for XFinity Voice. Isn't this XFinity's phone service?  I did not sign up for this service. I'm trying to get into my account to see what services they have me down for, but I'm told that I need to use that PIN to even get into my account.

 

I refuse to use a PIN that could suggest my accepting a service that I did not order. Their 24-hour phone number seems to not be available tonight. And most of my dealings with Comcast end up with my being (1) lied to and (2) charged more money.

 

Can someone someone suggest what service I've been signed up for without my consent? And how to get out of it?

The Call Centers are bogged down with an X1 Platform Outage at the present time so trying to call is pointless...  However, you will need to call into Comcast and discuss this with a CSR.  These forums are not direct links to Comcast.
