My phone is either dead or delivers a busy signal when I pick up the handset.  The phone light on the modem is blinking slowly.  I have disconneccted power to the modem, waited a couple of minutes, and powered it up again but the same problem occurs.  I have also checked all connetors between the phone adn modem.  My internet works fine.

Can you install the MyAccount APP on a smartphone?   You can check for local outages, and even send reset commands using the APP....  Have you looked at www.downdetector.com and see if there is a Comcast Phone outage in your area?  You may need to call 1-800-comcast and inform them that you are having problems... they won't know unless you tell them.
