Voice Service Not Setup wondering how now

Hi

Last year I signed up for the X1 platform it came w/internet, tv, and voice (Triple play I believe).  However, I never setup the voice when the tech came I said I didn't need it he said if I ever did I could plug a phone into the wireless box.  Now I'm wondering what is includded in my voice package and how to get it setup?  Obvious I have a home phone on the wall so I'm just wondering if a tech needs to come out again or if I have to do something. I'm pretty lost

If your Gateway is near your phone on the wall you can plug it into line one on the back and you should get dial tone.

 

If your Gateway is in another room than your phone on the wall; try plugging (if you can)  line 1 to the nearest phone outlet. If everything was installed correctly this will "backfeed" dial tone to the rest of your house. If you are still not able to get dial tone please let me know and I can schedule a technician out for you.

At the top of each Forum page you will see a small envelope

This is the icon for Private Messages, referred to as ‘PM’s’. A Private Message is a way to communicate in private, to another User, Moderator, or Administrator out of public view in the Forums.

The gray envelope icon will have a number next to it if you have any new messages waiting.

To open a PM to read it, double click on the envelope. If you click on the white envelope a window will open with tabs for your Private Message Inbox, Sent Messages, Friends, Ignored Users, and Compose new Message. You can also access this area by clicking on the Username in a Thread or post. By default, Private Messages are enabled. You can disable this feature in My Settings>Preferences> Private Messenger.
