Had Voicemail turned off on my Comcast phone two weeks ago line since I don't use it. Stutter dial tone and message waiting indicators keep reappearing on two different phones I've tried plugging in and then keep reappearing after I clear the indicator. Last Comcast tech helpfully told me to go read my phone manuals since it had to be the phone's fault. Could someone at Comcast actually take a look at my line instead of telling me it's my phones tricking Comcast into providing a stutter dial tone?
I have escalated your issue to the Comcast Team available to these forums. Check back often for a reply in this thread or via Private Message from a Comcast Official Employee.
Thanks for escalating. All my internet services reset a few days ago (internet and on demand TV) and when I reset the system on my end, stutter tone problem went away and has stayed away since. I assume the two events are related, but regardless thankful annoyance is in rear view mirror. Thanks for the help; much appreciated
Hi bosslater, glad you are not longer having issues with the VM stutter tone, if the issues do arise please let me know and I will have a look on my side.
Looks liek a residual effect from turning voicemail off. Stutter hasn't returned, light doesn't go off and my sensitive (over caffeinated?) little self isn't twitchign as a result. Thanks for the help on your end
Glad to hear it bosslater, if you have any questions or concerns in the future please let us know and we will assist.
