Unable to set up voice mail

Unable to set up voice mail

I just had phone service installed; when I try to set up voice mail through *99. I get a message saying that feature is not available. What am I missing?

Nothing, you're doing what you've been told to do.

 

The service itself is borked somehow.

 

It seems to be an issue that's been ongoing for years; I tried to set it when I first got it, got the message. Tried again last year, same thing.

 

You offer voicemail, Comcast? Then let us use it.

 

I just gave it another go, hoping for the best, and got the same chirpy recorded message.

 

Quite lame.

With most Digital Voice users, the voice mail works fine.  Please contact Comcast support to have them look into why your voice mail is not working.  There is no one from Comcast here on this community forum that can look into it.
