If your dialing *99 from your home phone to setup your voice mail and getting that error, then please contact Comcast support. They certainly can go over your account and get you fixed up.
I am having this same issue as well. Mailbox says "inactive." Contacted customer care Monday and they said VM would be enabled in 24 hours and it still is not.
Comcast chat and toll free numbers not working either, so I would like this resolved.
I am having the same issues I did call comcast for my area and was told that they are unable to setup a ticket about what is going on, then I was told to all back at 5:00 am tomorrow "REALLY" 5:00 am. I am not very happy to say the least if it is not one thing with comcast its always somthing else WTH FIX YOUR PROBLEM AND MINE AS WELL.. NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME ..
tHIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR WHAT 4 DAYS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, When I get a call from a friend telling me theres a problem other than Comcast telling me theres something wrong and I call Comcast support because your website wont work then your support tells me they are unable to create a ticket because their computers are screwed up and want me to call back up at 5:00 am the next day and you ask if theres a problem How do you think I am going to respond to that?
