I don't want to go back to the phone menu again--just hope this message gets to the technician who spent 1.5 hours with me on my cell phone this afternoon.  After he worked on our line with his supervisor, then with the Activation Team, then waited for me to refresh our Arris TM822G modem one more time, then made the appointment for my house call....  I returned the base telephone to its usual home and finally got a dial tone!  


I just wanted to let him know that it all wasn't in vain and I appreciate his work.  So I hope someone will pass this on.  And our records now show that the modem is configured for telephone service--wonderful!
