Text messaging

It used to be that text messaging was a choice in the email inbox. Now I can't find it and when I try to access through preferences I get a message That I have to have Xfinity Voice-WHICH I DO!

What gives?

That message usually means Comcast does not have your account set up correctly. Please call them at 1-800-Comcast. Your fellow customers in these forums have no access to your account information, and Comcast does not usually answer this kind of question here.
