Terrible reception on my home tel?

Terrible reception on my home tel?

I had the Xfinity package installed y/day. The phone has lots of cracking and it's impossible to hear anything. What do I need to do?

Plug your telephone directly into the TEL1 jack on the modem/gateway.  This will determine if it is within your inside wiring......  if the noise is still present, check to ensure that your previous Phone Service was disconnected at the DMARK outside the residence.... Keeping that connected will give you static throughout...    

 

If the previous phone service was disconenctced and you still have static when your phone is connected directly to the modem, then you need to call Comcast and let them know!!!!
