We will be going to our winter home in Arizona on December 28th and will be putting our Comcast TV, internet and telephone service on the reduced/vacation rate until we return in April.  We have an alarm system that is wired to a central alarm office.  If the alarm is activated by a break in or fire, a call is placed to the central alarm office through our telephone.  Can anyone answer the following questions:

 

  1.  If our telephone service is on the reduce/vacation rate, can the telephone call to the central alarm office be processed though our Comcast telephone service, or are all outgoing calls blocked while the telephone is on reduced/vacation rate?
  2. Does Comcast need the central alarm office telephone number for the alarm call to be processed?
  3. If calls to the central alarm office cannot be processed, is it possible to just put the TV and internet services on reduced/vacation rate and keep the telephone on regular rate?
