Smartzone Voice Mail - Internet Explorer Crash

Smartzone Voice Mail - Internet Explorer Crash

Receiving an "Internet Explorer has stopped working" error dialog box when attempting to play voice mail message in Smartzone.  Am currently using Internet Explorer 8, Windows Media Player 11 and Vista.  Chat technical assistance was unable to help as we were "disconnected" after about 15 minutes.  Any assistance with this would be appreciated.

Re: Smartzone Voice Mail - Internet Explorer Crash

Please start first by resetting you IE settings.  Go to tools, internet options.  On the last tab (advanced) at the bottom is "reset internet explorer settings".  Start with that. You also might want to reset the security settings for the internet zone under the security tab.

Re: Smartzone Voice Mail - Internet Explorer Crash

Thanks for the suggestions.  Have performed both procedures and am still faced with the same problem.  The crash occurs when I click on the "Play" icon on the voicemail list and am inclined to think that there may be an issue with the Windows Media Player add-on.  When I go to the "Manage Add-on" menu item after the crash, the WMP Add-on is listed twice in the window.

Re: Smartzone Voice Mail - Internet Explorer Crash

I was going to mention the media player add in, but was looking at my settings and it wasn't there.  Guess I haven't used it since rebuilding my OS.

You can try and deleting both media player add in's and next time it should prompt you to install it again.

If I think of anything else, I'll post it.
