Refresh "Message Wait Indicator" XC Voice Pref

While helping a friend with a Voicemail problem, I came across an item under Xfinity Connect / Preferences / Voice (https://pf.connect.comcast.net/OptimusPref/prefs/voice) called "Message Wait Indicator".

The pref looks like it may be a way to clear phantom Voice Mail Waiting indicators. It's been mentioned in a few posts, but I can't find any documentation on it. Can anyone tell me what this is?

Hi Bruce,

I experimented with this about a month ago when I first noticed it in my preferences...  Yes, it works....    and I could not find any online documentation about this either.... it could just go away at some point, you know how Comcast is with undocumented features!!!!
