I've been without phone service for 2 days now. Comcast customer support doesn't seem to have any answers for me. This is not acceptable.

Troubleshoot your CDV service first by resetting your eMTA telephony modem.  Press the small indented reset button on the eMTA by pressing it with a toothpick, pen or some kind of poker.

 

Test your CDV service by disconnecting the phone cord on the eMTA's L1/L2 jack and plug in a known good wired telephone directly to that L1/L2 jack and test your service.  That will help determine if the issue is on Comcast's side, or issues with your inside telephone wiring & equipment.

 

If it works with the phone directly plugged into the L1/L2 jack, then the issue is you inside phone wiring & equipment.  If it still doesn't work, then contact Comcast support and they can do a health check on your eMTA and service.

We have been without service for 2 days now. Is there any progress on repairs
