Purchased Arris TG862 - no voice

Purchased Arris TG862 - no voice

Does this screen shot tell anyone why I don't have voice after activating a purchased TG862?  Internet works fine.  Comcast wants to send a tech, I don't think that's the answer.

I could see the screen shot when I posted, now I can't.  Anyway, it's from the Router, and says that (voice) registration has started but not completed.  Is it just a matter of waiting?

Where did you purchase the TG from?  Ebay, Amazon, Craig's List?

When you activated the modem. did you aso actvate the EMTA ( phone) side as well?

Purchased from Amazon.  I didn't know there was a separate activation for EMTA -  I just went to xfinity.com/activate and followed the prompts.  How does one activate EMTA?

Since you've already actvated the unuit for data, see if this link will work:  http://www.xfinity.com/activate

And if it doesn't call into Comcast @ 1-800-266-2278 or 1-800-934-6489
