I'm transferring my CDV number to a new provider, but my service was disconnected in error with Comcast.  Who can assist in reconnecting my number?  I've called customer service and technical support several times, and seem to get the run around, or offers to take a new telephone number.  Someone who has done this before or has a number/department to call PLEASE help.

When you disconnect services with Comcast, your number, if not immediatly transfered, gets thrown in the number pool. Try calling your number and see what answer you get. I *think* when it gets thrown in the pool it cannot be re-assigned for 30 days, but don't quote me on that.
