My phones keep giving a busy signal.  When I call out to my cell phone the cell phone see it but no call goes through.  When I call my home phone it goes right to voice mail.  Can you help?

Re: Phones only give busy signal.

Press the small indented reset button on the eMTA telephony modem, you will need a toothpick or some poker to access the button.

Unplug the telephone cord from the eMTA's L1/L2 jack and plug in a known good wired phone right into the eMTA and give it a test.  You might be having inside telephone wiring issues causing a short with the inside wiring, bad / corrorded jack, or defective phone equipment.  You need to isolate the inside wiring to determine if it's inside wiring issues or with the Comcast eMTA.

If it still doesn't work then contact Comcast support, they might need to send out a tech to swap out the eMTA.
