Phone roll over problem

My home phone rings 1 time and rolls over to my cell phone. How can it be canceled and answered on home phone?

It is possible that your have your call forwarding enabled to the cell phone.  On any phone system, when phones are forwarded, the home phone splash rings to remind the user that the phone is forwarded.

 

To cancel call forwarding, dial *73 from your home phone.
