Phone outage, but reboot eMTA fixed it.

Came home from the IMAX theater to the phone not working.  Fast Busy signal.

 

In the Arris tm702g logs, I noticed:

3/14/2010 0:1365530Call Agent Loss of Communications

 

 

Although the Internet worked fine and the signal levels were ok.

 

I reset the EMTA with a ballpoint pen in the recessed button on the back.  Upon bootup everything was back to normal.

 

Just wanted to say if you have issues with Voice, try rebooting the eMTA.  Normally it reconnects by itself after an outage, but in this case a manual intervention was required.
