Phone number changed?

Phone number changed?

I attempted to add service (television) to my bundle of voice and internet. Some how during the day yesterday, and what I presume was the action of the person with whom I was chatting, my phone number was disconnected and I suddenly have a new phone number. They are telling me that it will be 24-72 hours until someone can help me. Has anyone had this happen and is there a way to escalate it more quickly?

I had the same thing happen today! Added TV services yesterday, tried calling home from the office today and I get a "number no longer in service" message. Comcast confirmed that my number was changed but put in a repair ticket and said they would change my number back. She thought they would work on it today. Did they confirm they issued a repair ticket? They will call me once it has been fixed, or she said I can check for status on the website under my account. Maybe you could try calling back?
