Phone not working

My home phones are not working. When I pick up the phone, it gives me a message that no line available. What is wrong?

If you haven't already, you'll want to power cylcle the modem.

 

Find the reset button on the back of the unit.
Use a pen or any pointed, non-metallic object to press the reset button until you see the lights on the front of the unit go off.
Release the reset button and wait for the unit to cycle up (this may take a few minutes).

 

If you get no joy, you'll have to contact Comcast. It's possible something is not correct on your account or you may need a new modem.

What is the TEL1 light doing on your modem? Blinking? Are you getting incoming calls? Do you have internet service with Comcast? Is that working?

Tel 1 light is on, not blinking.  In coming calls go to voice mail which I can only access throgh my computer.  I have Comcast internet & it is working.
