Phone not working - no light

Phone not working - no light

A couple of weeks ago, our power went out for a hour or so.  Afterward, our internet didn't work for approximately 2 days, it strangely started working again (in between, calls to xfinity support were fruitless and anger-inducing). However, the telephone light indicator continues to be dark and the telephone does not work.  It hasn't been an urgent issue since we have cell phones, but I'd like to take care of it.  We've tried the usual reboot/reset protocol...anyone have any other tricks that work?  Thanks in advance!
