Phone not working after upgrade

I got a call from Comcast saying I needed to upgrade my equipment to get the best of my services, so I got online and ordered the new internet equipment, the wifi works and everything but now the phone doesn't, the light in the device for phone doesn't even light up. I have gone through many times to make sur everything is hooked up right, but it still doesn't work. It's been about two weeks like that now thinking it would fix itself but now it needs to be fixed. Has this happened to anyone else?

You will have to contact Comcast support so they can configure your gateway for your phone service again.

Was your phone number ported from a different provider to comcast?

my phone is working after upgrade, but they've given me a new number and I want the old one back...

Happening to me now we have tried everything. Put my son to work on it and grandson. NO LUCK

I had the same thing happen. I think it was because I forgot to disconnect the old voice module first. I shut it down and used a chat session to have Comcast reset the new box remotely. During that procedure, she had me use a paper clip and hold the reset button down for 5 seconds. All is working well now.
