Phone calls drop out in the middle of a call.

Phone calls drop out in the middle of a call.

We have two different Comcast phone lines and they both will drop calls randomly.  This happen on both a wired phone and on a wireless phone. 

 

To solve the problem I just upgraded the old modem to the wireless gateway modem/router system because I thought maybe the problem was caused by the old modem we had.  However we are still experiencing the drop calls with the new modem.

Sounds like you changed the eMTA / modem / gateway by yourself without a tech coming out.  Most likely it is a signal issue and your will need to contact Comcast support and they should schedule a tech visit to check the signal conditions at the modem and fix what ever is wrong with the signal.
