Phone & Voice service

Phone & Voice service

I have recently subscribed to Comcast (triple play) - internet and tv are working just swell.  However, I keep getting a message waiting on my phone's hand set and a flashing light on the charger.  When I go to voice to check for messages there are none.  Also I continue to get the irratating triple sound before the dial tone which used to be an indication that there was voice mail to be had.

What's going on?  And how can I fix this?

I have named this the "Phantom" message waiting indicator....

Using a different phone ( cell ) call your home number and leave yourself a Voicemail.  From your home phone, retrieve the Voicemail and delete it.

This should clear the phantom stutter tone and the message waiting indicator light.
