Phone Service

I have the HD Perferred XF Bundle........How do I get the phone service to work?  I have checked all connections and have one of the newer modems.  The "telephone 1" light flashes on the modem and I do not have a dial tone.  Please help............Thank You

Have you tried plugging a single phone directly into the modem?

Yes, the phone I have is plugged directly in to the modem.  Phone is fully charged, but there is no dial tone and the telephone 1 light flashes on the modem.
