Outgoing voice can't be heard

Hi,

My home phone has a problem. When I get calls everything works fine. When I call out, the call is received but my voice isn't heard. Tried different phone numbers and phones, plugged directly into the eMTA and spend 1.5 hours on a chat with a Comcast rep, resetting the eMTA remotely and locally.  Any ideas anyone? I'm being told there maybe charges if a tech comes out!

Call Comcast again, they should do a health check on your eMTA phone adapter.

 

You will not be charged if it is with Comcast equipment or an outside wiring issue.  You might be charged if the problem ends up with your inside coax cable wiring which is owned by the homeowner unless you are paying for the optional wiring maintenance program.
