Non Working Phone Jack Easy Solution

Non Working Phone Jack Easy Solution

There have been several posts regarding other phone jacks throughout the house not working.  Many people do want the added cost of rewiring the jacks.  It has been recommended to add a splitter to the back of the modem, basically creating and line IN and line OUT.

As these can sometimes fail, WHY doesn't Comcast/Xfinity just put a Line IN and Line OUT in the back of the modem??!!  Way too easy I guess... this way they can collect more money with service calls..

Re: Non Working Phone Jack Easy Solution

Hi EssOh, you can get dial tone with all of your phone outlets by plugging line 1 of the back of the EMTA to a phone port and it will give dial tone on the rest of your outlets.

Thank you
