No message playback on Apple Mac running new Snow Leopard OS

No message playback on Apple Mac running new Snow Leopard OS

I have an Intel based Mac running the new OS, Snow Leopard. Once the OS was updated, all subsequent Apple updates were installed. Clicking on the voice mail play button to the left of the progress bar seemingly has no effect. My wife has the same computer running the older OS, Leopard, and has no problems with message playback.

I have no idea where to look for a solution as I have no idea as to what Apple application/plug-in is being called for by the Comcast voice mail server, possibly Quicktime? I do know a new version of Quicktime was included with the new OS. I fear a compatibility issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I'm not sure if it's the solution, but try changing Safari to open in 32-bit mode.

Re: No message playback on Apple Mac running new Snow Leopard OS

Changing Safari (4.0.3) to 32 bit mode did not help.

Thanks for the suggestion.
