No longer receive text notifications after switching from sprint to verizon.

No longer receive text notifications after switching from sprint to verizon.

About 3 weeks ago I had my cell number ported from Sprint to Verizon. Since then I have not received any text notification from my xfinity home security system. There is no option to select a carrier. The number in the system is correct, and there are no blocks on my verizon service. Verizon said perhaps the text will kick in again after my first billing cycle. What would my billing cycle have to do with it? I can't be the only person to have experienced this problem. What's the solution?

have you tried seeing if other phone numbers get msgs? if not that may be an issue on comcast's end. also are you able to recieve any text msgs are your phone? in which that case would be a verizon issue
