Our land line connection has been down for the last 2 days. Need help.

Are you experiencing an outage?  It does happen from time to time...

You can check by logging into your account online, by using the MyAccount smartphone APP or by calling into Comcast and asking for a status of the outage...

 

You may need to call Comcast as you may be the only one experiencing the issue and by calling you will be able to enter a trouble report.

Having the same issue here in the Chicago area. Everything shows it's up and working, but no dial tone since Wednesday when there was an outage in the area... Have contacted Comcast and they see everything up and working, but calls to the line go directly to VM.
