No caller ID on TV

No caller ID on TV

My caller ID on my tv is not working.  I called a few days ago and the rep reset the boxes.  The caller ID is still not working.

Power cycle the set top box one more time.  Unplug the box for a minute, then power it up again, test it in 30 minutes after everything reloads.

 

Otherwise it would be an account coding issue that Comcast support can fix by making sure the UCID codes are on the account for that specific set top box.

Go to the main menu and go to interactive services. Sometimes after an outage or glitch, it turns itsel off.  Just set it to on and it should start working. good luck!

I tried all of the above ideas... the problem has not fixed itself.  The problem is in my "switch" witch is a piece of software in the eMTA (phone box) which tell the phone when to ring, handles caller ID, and universal caller ID.  I need an employee to create a ticket to have my switch looked at, and fixed.

The Comcast Cares Team has been notified of you issue and will followup next business week.

 

The eMTA itself has nothing to do with your caller ID on TV and PC.  The UCID is all controlled from the headend & CDV switch equipment.

 

Expect some contact from a Comcast rep next business week.
