No Dial Tone!!

No Dial Tone!!

No dial tone on my phone!!  I plugged my phone directly into the modem and I get nothing.  What is the problem? 


I have called Comcast Customer service, have done the online chat and still my issue is not resolved.  The have sent signals to the modem, internet and phone service "reset" and the phone line light is still blinking with or without phone plugged into modem. 


I have seen missed calls and vm online, so I know the number is good.

If you can't get it working contact them at the phone number on your bill or 1-800-Comcast, or chat with them at https://www.comcastsupport.com/chatentry/ and insist that they send a tech out to identify the cause and correct it.

If the tech finds bad coax, splitters, amplifiers, or connections in your home (even if Comcast originally supplied them) you'll probably have to pay for the visit unless you have their Service Protection Plan (http://www.xfinity.com/spp/, about $5/mo). If the trouble is due to a faulty Comcast phone modem or anything outside your home, you shouldn't be charged.
