I've tired switching phones and cords, and still no dial tone.

Try restting the modem/gateway using these instructions:  http://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/internet/power-cycling-your-modem/

If none of the above are successful, call into Comcast @ 1-800-266-2278 and speak with a CSR about your non-working sevices to begin troubleshooting with that process.
