My caller ID incorrect on some outgoing calls

For 2 1/2 years,  my ID is incorrect on a few outgoing calls,  I have told Comcast about this for at least 2 years,  and they say they updated their data base,  but it has never been rectified.  When I called the companies of the numbers involved,  I was told since I am not their customer,  they can do nothing.  An affiliate of Verizon,(business accounts) says they have updated THEIR data bases but perhaps Comcast uses different data bases!  Is this stupidity ,  incompetence  or what?  How do I get my proper ID whenever I make a phone call on my Comcast digital equipment?  For people who screen calls,  they often will not answer a name they do not recognize,  and that has happened to me a number of times since my ID got screwed up.  Unfortunately,  my calls have gone unanswered by some medical offices,  and unfortunately,  the complex in which I reside has a server who uses my incorrect ID!!!  PLEASE HELP!
