I had my two phone lines ported over to Comcast from Verizon because I was told by the Comcast Rep that I would be able to move them over to my new house when I moved. When I scheduled the move I was told the numbers would come over. Today was the move and I'm told my new house is in a different rate center and they couldn't port the numbers over.

1. I thought when they moved the numbers over from Verizon to Comcast the numbers were already ported.

2. The whole reason to move the numbers was because I could keep them. If I had used Comcast numbers would they have moved?

Waiting on a supervisor to call me back butfeeling like I'm being lied to again!

To gain insight into what/why Rate Centers are integral keys to moving phone numbers, see this Wiki link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rate_center
