My answering machine for my land line is on, but no one can leave me a message.  What is up with that?

You have a personal answering machine on your Comcast phone line?

 

Ensure that the number of rings for your personal Answering machine is set BELOW the number of rings for the Comcast VM feature...

 

Example:  Set # of rings on personal answering machine to 4

                   Set # of rings on Comcast VM to 6.

 

This will ensure your personal answering machine picks up the call before it can get to the Comcast VM feature.
